This time every year I start thinking about getting outside. I feel the need to connect with the forest and flowing waters again. I've been cooped up inside long enough. Last week on my day off I took advantage of the warm winter day and took a hike around the lake by my house. It was just what I needed. Now

I'm longing for spring even more.

Haight St.

On our second day in San Francisco we got up early and headed down to Haight St. I had wanted

to see this area for years. I'm a deadhead. We had some monster breakfast burritos then spent the rest of our time walking around taking photos. Our schedule only allowed a few hours here so I'm hoping to spend more time in this area if we visit again.



Hidden Beach

These were taken on our roadtrip to California last July. We spent hours at this beach. I couldn't

believe that we had it all to ourselves the whole time. All photos were taken with a toy Holga camera

and some expired film. I have lots more from our trip coming soon. Hope everyone is having a great new year so far!

I'm glad to have Jeremiah, Kasey, and lil' Lula in my life. I treasure our friendship. 

baking with bing

Last Saturday while Rob was at band rehearsal I decided to get all festive and do a little baking with my Bing album spinning in the background. Perfect holiday music.

I got this cookie recipe for snowballs from one of my favorite blogs. The cookies were easy to make and turned out really good. We LOVED them! I hope to someday own a cookbook from her with all those

scrumptious recipes and food photos.

On Sunday I took a walk around the square with my mom and lensbaby to take some photos.

The pictures turned out just how I wanted to remember the lights.

holiday glow

This week I took a walk around the Pinnacle Promenade to do a little window shopping

and take some photos of the twinkling lights.



I did a little decorating in the house.



And I got a visitor while I was taking a self-portrait of my new hair.
I've been thinking of starting a 52 weeks of me project for the new year, but after bombing on the
365 last year I'm kinda scared to.
I hate giving up on things. I may just have to try it.
