san francisco: part two

This is part two of our first day in San Francisco. After hitting Fisherman's Wharf we walked

through Chinatown and North Beach. I was really excited to get to go to Cafe Trieste and see where the screenplay to my favorite movie The Godfather was written. Pretty cool.

After some good food and a stop at The Beat Museum we headed back to the hotel to crash.

I had a wonderful hot shower that night with the bathroom window open.

The bathroom had an amazing smell of oranges and ocean breeze. While I washed my hair I got to watch the lights of San Francisco. It was the best shower...ever.

Walk was the word over at words to shoot by this week.

These were all taken on my walk around Haight-Ashbury St. in July.

autumn day

I got my cloudy fall day. It was perfect light for capturing autumn colors.

Golden was the word over at words to shoot by this week.

Fall is finally starting to show it's colors in my area. We had a VERY hot summer so I'm not sure

the tree color will be as vibrant this year. Hopefully I'll have some autumn shots to share soon.

I need a rainy day with lots of clouds. Those are the best days for fall photography.

san francisco: part one

Our first day in San Francisco we walked from our hotel in North Beach to Fisherman's Wharf.

Highlights from our visit included...the best ever fish-n-chips and crab chowder on the pier, the cool ocean breeze, lots of fun at Musee Mecanique, photobooth pictures, hearing the cable cars bell ring, cotton candy,

seeing two sea lions, and hearing "Laffing Sal" laugh her ass off.

I remember my Grandma Shelby laughing at her at our local fair when I was a kid.

I kept pinching myself that whole day. I just couldn't believe I was finally in San Francisco.

the cat from outer space

His name is Muggles. He adopted my Mom.

For some odd reason while I was editing these pictures I thought of that 70's movie,

The Cat From Outer Space.

I loved that movie when I was a kid.

Still do.

I was so excited to find a working photobooth in San Francisco. Before we left on our trip I checked

the photobooth.net  website for any photobooths along the way and found two in San Fran. Out of all the little things I got on the trip these photo strips were my favorite souvenirs. Totally worth $3 each!
