buffalo river magic

We sold our canoe last night. I'm glad I wasn't at home to see the buyer drive off with it. I got
teary when Rob texted me that it sold. We canoed many miles of rivers through the years in it. It's weird how you can get so attached to stuff. We sold it to get kayaks. I'm sure I will love them too.
These photos were taken on the Buffalo river. Can't wait for spring to go explore with my new kayak!

I took these photos at Steel Creek  back in April on a camping trip. I've camped there many times through the years, but I had never really captured what I love about most about that area. The crystal clear river water, the rocks, that amazing old tree on the path to the bank, and the always so curious damselflys. Well...on this trip I was lucky to have nice light and lots of time by myself to take photos. I hope you enjoy them! If you're ever in Arkansas, check out the upper Buffalo River area.
It will steal your heart.

One of my favorite places on earth to camp. We got to spend Memorial Day weekend camping with
our family and it was a much needed break for us all. The river water was perfect and the stars
that night were amazing. My new chaco sandals that I LOVE had their first dip in the Buffalo river.
I brought along a book from the library that we all couldn't get enough of. If you're into vintage campers
you have to check out this book. I'm gonna have to buy it for sure. Rob and I hope to buy and fix up a vintage camper or van someday. Fingers crossed.
