Hello, November

                                                             

We made some pretty cool diptychs over at Words To Shoot By this week. Hop on over and check them out! I got those two wooden lovelies at the War Eagle Craft fair last month. I love them.

Speaking of craft fairs...I found out on Friday that I was accepted to take part in 

The Little Craft Show!!

I'm so excited about it, but I have a lot of work to get done. I was waiting to find out before I made up lots of goodies for the show. I'm going to have wooden blocks/circles with my photos mounted on them, greeting cards, gift tag cards, and prints for sale. The show is Sat. December 1st from 10-6.

blue and free

My last two contributions to Words To Shoot By were taken on a recent camping trip to the

Buffalo River. While Rob was busy fishing I was photographing the hummingbirds

and butterflies all over a mimosa tree during the BLUE dusk.

Can you see them?

The FREE  flowing river with it's trickling music that drowns your sorrows.

It always works for me.

Karma

Today my baby girl Karma is turning fifteen! I can't believe how time goes by.

The word this week was BLUR over at words to shoot by.

Hope everyone is having a lovely spring so far! I'm loving all the blooming flowers and warmer

days!

Golden was the word over at words to shoot by this week.

Fall is finally starting to show it's colors in my area. We had a VERY hot summer so I'm not sure

the tree color will be as vibrant this year. Hopefully I'll have some autumn shots to share soon.

I need a rainy day with lots of clouds. Those are the best days for fall photography.

vinyl junkie

The word was collect over at words to shoot by this week.

I started collecting vinyl in my early twenties and have accumulated a nice collection through the years.

I remember spending hours looking at the cover art on my parents records as a child.

I've actually bought an album because of the cover art and usually end up loving the music on it!

My favorite part of collecting is the excitement of digging through the stacks of dusty records at thrift stores and estate sales and finding that record I've been searching for.

One of my best finds ever that I cherish was Joni Mitchell's Blue album for one dollar.

Best dollar I've ever spent.

I forgot to share my last contribution to words to shoot by. The word was space.

These were taken on my first day in California. I saw a lot of wide open spaces driving through the
mojave desert. I have tons to share from my visit to Cali coming soon.
